We will be waiting for you at the airport or bus station of the city of Salta. Our guide will be waiting for you and we will go to hotel for the check-in. We will know the architecture and culture of our beautiful city; we will start with the historic center with its most important buildings and monuments, the General Güemes and February 20th, the latter in commemoration of the Battle of Salta and, after visiting the city headed its surroundings to visit the town of San Lorenzo and the handicraft market. At the end of the day we return to the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. This day we will visit one of the most exotic places in Argentina, a poblated town paused in time, the legendary Cachi. The tour begins with a trip by the amazing Cuesta del Obispo, a winding route with an unforgettable landscape, then we will go Los Cardones National Park, where we will visit ancient cacti of more than 5 meters high. Then, we will discover the village of Cachi, place of beautiful landscapes and rushing streams, leafy trees to the roadside and the impressive views of the Nevado de Cachi, stone guardian that guards the residents and visitors, of course. We will have plenty to learn about the amazing stories that houses this place. After the tour we will return to the city of Salta. Night in Salta.
Breakfast at the hotel. We started our trip to Salinas Grandes, one of the largest salt flats in Argentina, with 212 km². This tour will delight us by the variety and contrast of the landscapes that we will visit, from the cool and moist forest to the dry white of the salt. We will leave Salta to go to the following province of Jujuy to get to know all existing villages along the route that invite you to enjoy one of the most important natural and cultural attractions of the region. We will visit Purmamarca, an indigenous village at the foot of the amazing Cerro de los Siete Colores and its imposing viewpoint. From there we will start climbing the Cuesta de Lipan to arrive at the majestic Salinas Grandes; where we will be in contact with the workers of salt, and learn different things about their craft. Return to Salta.
During this day we will start our trip to the colorful and spectacular Quebrada de Humahuaca, with its thousands of shapes and colors that we will discover while we go over it. This area, home of ancient cultures, has been declared Cultural and Natural Heritage in July 2003 by UNESCO. In our trip we will visit villages located within the Quebrada as Tilcara, Uquia and of course, the Humahuaca, to end with a visit to the city of San Salvador de Jujuy, capital of that province. Finally, we will return to the city of Salta.
Breakfast. We will go to Cafayate, wine emblem area of Salta and birthplace of the famous Argentine: Torrontés. This small city is located in the heart of the Calchaquíes Valleys and, the beauty of its landscapes, its favorable climate, excellent wines and the friendliness of its people, are some of the reasons why tourists worldwide choose Cafayate as their destination year after year. We will visit an iconic winery in the area and our guide will teach us about high altitude wines, its processes and systems of conduction of the vine. We will also share a talk about tasting techniques and we will taste the wines of our hosts. After the visit to Cafayate we will return to the city of Salta while admiring the stunning Quebrada de las Conchas and knowing each of its recognized worldwide landforms such as the "Anfiteatro", the "Obelisco, the "Garganta del diablo", the "castles" and, also, the incredible "Sapo". Night in Cafayate.
Breakfast at the hotel. We will enjoy the morning in Cafayate to go through the village and wineries. In the afternoon, we will return to Salta. Night in Salta.
Breakfast at the hotel. We will leave at 7:30 from Salta by National Route 51 out to the south-west of the Valle de Lerma, after passing through Campo Quijano, known as the Portal de los Andes, from here we will enter the Quebrada del Toro, where a continuous ascent begins, always accompanied by the known tracks of the Tren de las Nubes. Then, we will reach the village of Santa Rosa de Tastil in where we will visit its ruins and we will continue climbing until we reach the highest point of 4080 m.s.n.m., a place called Abra Blanca to then descend to San Antonio, where after lunch and visit the town we will come back to Salta.
