UCO VALLEY: THE VALLEY OF SENSATIONS

The Valle de Uco has the distinction of having some of the highest vineyards in the world, at the foot of The Andes and, one of the most charming wine landscapes. El Valle certainly arouses feelings.
Many of the travelers who have visited have expressed the had the sense of being in Napa Valley 25 years ago. Overnight stays in rural or excellent urban accommodations, tasting fine wines, exciting days’ outdoors, delight of exquisite culinary specialties, scenic walks and the omnipresent serenity provide a special framework to re-find oneself, to meet others and discover new sensations.

Program

Day 1: Salentein Experience

Reception at the airport or bus station in the city of Mendoza. Our guide will welcome you and immediately we will begin our journey to Valle de Uco, situated at 80 km. to the south. At your arrival to the selected accommodation will make the appropriate check-in. This day we will make our first visit to a winery. A tour through one of the most important and prestigious wineries: Salentein. This tour includes a horse ride through farms around the winery, also being able to walk among the vineyards that give rise to these prestigious wines. At midday we will enjoy a delicious 3 times’ lunch. Then we will make an exclusive tour called "Tour of Architecture". It includes a tour around the architectural complex, beginning with the Chapel of Gratitude, then Killka (winery museum) and the impressive wine cellar, ending with a courtesy toast. During the visit we will explain the architecture of each of the spaces and their symbolism, landscaping, the current art in Killka and a brief summary of the history of the evolution of the architecture of wineries in Mendoza. Photos and gifts will enclose this exciting day.

Day 2: High Wineyards

Breakfast in the hotel. We will then go to Domaine Bousquet winery. Its particularity lies in that all of their wines are produced with fruit from their own vineyards, obtaining a greater control of the production process, by giving as a result an excellent wine that, of course, during our visit we will taste. At the end, we will know the Andeluna Cellars winery, it is in a privileged location at the foot of the “Tupungato” volcano, a producer of high quality international wines. Here, we will enjoy a gourmet lunch at the winery restaurant. After our Valle de Uco experience, we will return to the Posada.

Day 3: A Fantastic Trip

Breakfast at the hotel. When you tell us, we will coordinate your transfer from the hotel to the airport or bus station in Mendoza. If you wish we can combine your stay in Mendoza with any of the wonderful destinations that Altura - Argentina Tourism & Wines has to offer in other Argentinian cities.
