Argentina is a very active gay destination with a vibrant community. Apart from this, it is a country that marches in the vanguard as regards claiming for the recognition of people’s rights without distinction of religion, skin color or sexual orientation.
The province of Mendoza, located at the foot of Los Andes Mountain Range, is known, together with Buenos Aires, as one of the most gay friendly places and it has become one of the new favorite destination for the gay community that visits South America. A proof of this is the Gay National Vintage Festival celebrated every year attracting people from all over the world.
Mendoza is also the birth place of Argentinean Wines and one of the most beautiful places in Argentina. As it is at the foot of the Andes, its landscape always has the giant and imposing mountains, one of them the mythical Aconcagua, as its background. This, combined with the always sunny days and the magical vineyards, creates a perfect environment to enjoy relax, rest and amusement.
Mendoza also has an excelent variety of night clubs, restaurants and shows, some of them exclusively dedicated to the gay public.

We will be waiting you at the airport or bus station of Mendoza. Our guide will welcome you and we will transfer you to the hotel selected for check-in. In the afternoon we will have a view of the most important places of the beatiful Mendoza, city developed with very particular urban details, such as the open ditches, the width of sidewalks and avenues and the installation of the squares that adorned it. We will know the Frank Romero Day amphitheatre, scenario where every year takes place the already world-renowned Fiesta Nacional de la Vendimia; the beautiful park General San Martin, green lung of the city of 420 hectares, it is home to over 300 species of flora which was the work of the great french landscape architect Carlos Thays; the monument to the army of Los Andes located on the Summit of the Cerro de la Gloria, and the zone or Founding Area of Mendoza, a walk made up Pedro del Castillo square (in tribute to who founded the city in 1561) and the Franciscan ruins (temple built in 1731); among other places. Night in Mendoza.
Breakfast at the hotel. Then we will pick you up to start your first visit to a winery situated at the area known as High Viticulture Region of Mendoza River or First Region. Here are the most prestigious malbec vineyards and many of the wineries that make wines recognized at international levels. We will visit the installations of the wineries and our guide will teach us about Mendoza’s wines, its elaboration processes and vine conduction systems. We will also share an informal lecture about tasting techniques and taste the wines of our hosts. Finally, we will enjoy lunch in the winery. Return to the hotel. A tour to Mendoza’s gay night life, with guide and private transportation.
Breakfast at the hotel. We will visit Villavicencio and its mineralized waters. The tour includes a visit to the old hotel Villavicencio and surroundings, where is accessed by way of the Caracoles, a beautiful route. In the afternoon we will coordinate your transfer from the hotel to the airport or bus station in Mendoza. If you wish we can combine your stay in Mendoza with any of the wonderful destinations that Altura - Argentina Tourism & Wines has to offer in other Argentinian cities.
