Wine roads knowing the most southern wines (Neuquén and Rio Negro provinces)

The most southern region of Argentina is not exempt of wine cultivation. By contrast, emerges as one of the promising areas for the development of wines of high range, in particular the Pinot Noir Variety. The productive oasis is concentrated around the 39º south parallel (Neuquén and Río Negro), being found in Chubut the most southern vineyards. It highlights the town of San Patricio del Chañar in Neuquén. The wineries in this area offer hotels, restaurants, tastings and different activities.

Tour around the Seven Lakes (Neuquén province)

In the 234 route, from San Martin de los Andes taking direction to Villa Langostura, it travels this road between mirrors of water and forests, located on the shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake. Close to the village it is found the Cerro Bayo wintry centre. From Villa Langostura it reaches Los Arrayanes National Park: a forest with trees over 20 meters height which is say that inspired Disney to create its legendary feature film ”Bambi”, great for travel by car, bicycle and even walking.

Bariloche City (Río Negro province)

This beautiful city is stationed in the center of the Nahuel Huapi National Park, on the shores of the homonymic lake. During summer and winter receives thousands of tourist of all over the world who enjoy the large amount of services provide by the city (hotels, gastronomy, recreational activities, casino, bars, disco, etc) and the impressive natural scenery that surrounds it. Bariloche is the access door to Los Arrayanes National Park that protects an estimated myrtle forest. A series of specially designed catamarans allow carrying on lacustrine rides and excursions in the Nahuel Huapi Lake.

Ski in the Cerro Catedral (from June to September – Río Negro province)

Situated close to the Bariloche city (20 km), this ski center offers 600 hectares of snow with more than 120 kilometers of ski slopes and roads, and 39 lifts able to transport 35 thousands of skiers per hour. Skiable slopes, and unbeatable services joined with the most exiting panoramic views, transform Cerro Catedral a permanent center of attractions for both, skiing and snowboarders lovers, as well as to any visitor that reaches this distant regions looking for excitement, nature and adrenaline.

Golf and amazing landscapes (from September to May - Río Negro province)

This thrilling sport can be practice in Bariloche in an environment of spectacular nature. During the season take place various tournaments leaded to all the levels and averages. We recommend the 18 holes from the Arelauquen Golf Country Club located in front of Cerro Catedral, blue Gutierrez Lake and the links of Llao Llao Hotel & Spa, flanked by the Nahuel Huapi Lake and big centenarians’ trees.

Visit to the Perito Moreno glacier (Santa Cruz province)

Is one of the inexcusable visits in Argentina, that together with the twelve glaciers constitute the large slide masses of ice and snow from Los Glaciares National Park. This 5 km front and 60 meters long glacier is in full progress. At any time of the year surprises with their constant ice towers landslides that become fragmented in multiple icebergs. It can be reached from El Calafate city.

Trekking in the Chaltén area (Santa Cruz province)

It national parks with lakes, glaciers, mountains and forest turn the region into an ideal area for camping, hiking and trekking. From El Chalten leave many itineraries that run well marked trails, both in the National Park as in privately owned land. According to the physical condition and the time available, is possible to do from short walk, to venture in to climbs or several days expeditions.

Sport fishing (Neuquén, Río Negro and Santa Cruz provinces)

Patagania, one of the world’s largest virgin regions, have big lakes which has glacier water and crystalline water rivers. Fueled by heavy snowfall, offer rich fishing rainbow, brown, fontinalis, salmon trout. Many of them are situated inside the National Parks, and its rivers flow from the imposing mountains from the Patagonian Andes which combine volcanoes, valleys and glaciers. Cold waters of rivers, streams, slides and lakes are optimal for the fly fishing, spinning and trolling.
